The Science of Penetrating Oils

Unlike traditional paints that sit on the surface, our weather-aware wood restoration process utilizes high-solids penetrating oils. These coatings are engineered to saturate the wood fibers, creating a barrier that repels moisture while allowing internal humidity to escape. This is critical for preventing the rot and silvering common in Calgary's semi-arid environment.

Our 4-Phase Restoration Protocol

   Biodegradable Cleansing

   Removing tannins, gray wood fibers, and biological growth without damaging the wood's structural integrity.

2. 02

   Mechanical Sanding

   Opening the wood pores to ensure maximum uptake of the staining agents, while smoothing out splinters.

   Moisture Verification

   We use digital moisture meters to ensure the wood is perfectly dry before application, guaranteeing a bond that won't fail.

   Saturated Application

   Applying the stain via brush or low-pressure spray, followed by back-brushing for deep, even penetration.
